Default RE: need "swedish" help

Hi Matt,

here it is:

Decal application water slide transfer

The following procedure applies the water slide transfer decals.

For the absolute best results apply a thin coat of clear to the model where decals are to be placed or wet sand the surface (the base coat) with #2000grit paper then apply decals as described below. The surface must be very smooth and flat!!!!

• Cut the decals out of the sheet leaving approx. one milimeter margin around it.

• Submerge the decal in luke warm water for about 30 seconds so that it will slide off its backing paper.

• Apply Micro SET to the model where you will be sliding of the decal.

• Locate the decal on the model and gently slide it off its backing paper onto the model surface. Work the decal with your fingers or a soft brush over the length of it taking care not to tear it apart. Start on the edges, don’t start in the centre of the decals. Use a soft cloth to permanently adhere the decal in position and remove all the water.

• The precise location of the decal can be arranged once it is completely on the model by keeping it wet. Nudging it at a time with your fingers.

• Now you should apply Micro SOL with a soft brush. Leave it alone! It does the work. The SOL is not necessary on the full printed decals (only on the clear edges).

• Do not touch the decal after applying MICRO SOL, as the decal is now soft and can easily be distorted or destroyed. On surfaces with many irregularities additional applications may be necessary. Allow MICRO SOL to dry between applications. (the clear decal foil must not shine in a silver look!!!!)

• Use a paper towel or a soft cloth to wipe araound the perimeter of the decal to remove the adhesive residue.

• Let it dry for some hours!

• Remove the some dried adhesive residue after drying decals with a wettish cloth. Use water only, don’t use other cleaning agents!

These decals are not resistant to fuel! You should spray a thin clear coat over them. The decals don´t accept all brands of clear coat! Try the different brands! Don´t use the clear coat distributed from Revell or Humbrol and other one components clear coats! Use a two part automotiv clear coat! Clear coat by “Tamiya” works good. Apply a few thin light coats of clear allowing them to dry before a full coat is sprayed on the model.
