I'm a newbie so excuse my ignorance, what is the purpose of this gismo? Is it to vent off the remaining gas once the engine is running so that if the model crashes the chances of a fire are less? If so how much more likely is it for the model to catch fire with half a tank of gas on board? I was planning just to leave my gas tank out of the model & just plug in the hose during start up. - John.
