You'll be flying the CX right out of the box with little trouble.

Get the heak sink and heat sink compound and an extra battery as soon as you can.

I found the training gear unnecessary.

The Blade CX thread here and on rcgroups is pretty thorough.

Good luck and don't stop reading about all brands and models.
