Nexstar Q&A
I have a Nexstar that I got in a trade still NIB.I put it together and I have test flown it.2 flights on 2-19-06 without any problems except for the low speed needle being a tad rich.My question is should I epoxy the wing together and the tail surfaces on.I do not plan on taking it apart or selling it.I am keeping it for when my 4 year old son wants to learn to fly and whenever I feel like "Sunday Flying".
I don't like the flex in the wing at the center.I like the "security" of a wing and stab/fin that is epoxied together instead of being held together with screws, bolts and nuts.I will also be adding the flaps and aileron dual servos with a 7 or 8 channel reciever being that I already have a 6XA and 9C radios.I will not be using the "co-pilot" setup that came with the plane.
I know it is up to me to epoxy it or not,but let me here your opinions.I am not a "newbie" flyer. So you don't have to explain
the technical stuff.I have in my hanger ready to fly a TF Gold Edition P47 Thunderbolt,Ultra-Stick 60,Stinger 60,Stick 40,Something Extra,Dazzler ARF,Pizzaz,Modeltech ME109 .25,Funtana 40,GP Extra 300 40 size I am repairing,whats left of a Ultra-Stick 40(dumb thumbs),and a GP Chapman Flatout on brushless.Waiting to be built is an Ultimate Funfly,Hobby Hanger P47 .25,Seagull Edge 540 and
whatever I pickup in Perry next Saturday.
