Default RE: Four Star 60 - What engine?

Hi DoctorBill,

From what I hear, I'd say the ST 90 should go in. Don't get me wrong - the Saito 82 is an excellent engine, and the Four Star 60 is a perfect match for a four stroke engine, but most people seem to be putting Saito 100 or 91 in. I just don't think the 82 will have what it takes to do anything more than the basics. As stated before, I'm using an Enya 90 4 stroke, and I'm worried that won't have enough power.

I was lucky and got my Enya 90 and SuperTiger 90 for $60 each at a club auction, but I would not hesitate to buy another SuperTigre new. They are just outstanding deals. I just bought a ST GS-40 for $49 on Tower, and so far, it is great. Besides their one minor setback (long break-in for ringed engines), there really isn't many other engines that can come close to ST in terms of price/performance.

One more thing - apparently the Four Star 60 is very tail heavy (mine was) - most people have a heavier engine up front to balance things out. I'd say go for the ST 90.

Good luck!
