You can't go wrong with either a Cermark Javelin or a Kyosho Oxylas .50 for a true pattern feel. I'd rank the three I've had experience with as follows:

1 Oxylas, closest airplane in this size class that I've flown that approximates a 2 meter.

2 Javelin, second closest airplane in this size class that I've flown the approximates a 2 meter. Mine was a little heavier, and just doesn't fly as precise as my Oxylas. I sold it to a buddy in favor of a second Oxylas. He is very happy with it.

3 Venus, very good sport plane.
