The ability to view only subscribed forums
has been a big help here. We're limited to a 28.8 connection. If someone still wants all of the categories, they can simply subscribe to them. Super easy.
But, if they only want pattern, and don't give a rip about 3d (or the other way around!) set it that way and speed up the load time for the page.

I know you know all this, but if someone hasn't tried subscribing only to what they want to see, they're missing it.
