RE: HELP NEED DEFINITIONS!!!!!!
1. Exponential
Non-linear relationship between servo and stick position. Usually reduces the sensitivity of the stick near the neutral control point.
2. Blender:
With throttle at idle push down so that the model is diving vertically towards the ground. Add full left aileron, then after two full rotations, quickly add full down elevator, and full right rudder, the model will violently stop descending, and should turn into a complete blur, even at idle.
3. Reflex
Airfoil with the trailing edge is bent upwards. Usually introduced in airfoils of flying wings to reduce pitching moment.
4. c10
Slow charging current for batteries. A battery is charged for approx 14-15 hours with a current that is (capacity in mAh) / 10 h, e.g., a 1200 mAh battery could be charged at 120 mA for 15 hours.
5. 20 x 6-10
Propeller with 20" diameter and a progressive pitch 6" near the root and 10" near the tip.
6. Crow.
Flap arrangment usually for hot liners to steepen landing approch while at the same time keeping airspeed down. Flaps go down and ailerons deflect upwards, creating a high lift, high drag configuration with a lot of wash-out.
7. DSM
In my world: Digital Spectrum Modulation—a digital RF link between transmitter and model that is based on Direct Sequencing Spread Spectrum technology.
8. toc
Tournament of Champions
9. Collective
Heli talk: Collective pitch is the angling of all blades by an equal amount in unison. The pilot uses collective pitch control to rise vertically. The other term of interest is cyclic pitch.
10 BPL
No idea
11. High alpha
Usually meaning an airfoil operating at a high angle of attack
12. #11
The most common typ of scapel blade
13. VPP
Variable Pitch Propeller (?)
14. Threshold
The beginning of that portion of a runway usable for landing.
15. Death slide
Probably a 3D maneuver of some sort
16. Training gear
Diapers (?)
17. Harrier
BAe Harrier: Cool aircraft
3D: The Harrier is a nose-up forward flight
