Default HOVERING!

Is the formula for power required to hover 1.5 times the weight of the aircraft? If so then a 14oz. aircraft would need about 21oz of thrust. This isn't working for me so there must be another number to work with.

To add to this confusion for me the 3D that is mentioned here uses a battery that is Li-Poly 3Sp 1200 mAh with a 300 EPS motor, that should fry the motor or am I missing something. This is like swimming up stream what a challange.

It will hover, can you?I can semi hover on my 3dx but the elevator is flimsy and the halves tend to flop around alot. Try moving your c.g. back a bit
