Default need a smaller 3d plane

hello peeps

been flying my Limbo Dancer (.32 2 stroke) for a while now, problem is, because i drive a mini, i have to take out the passenger seat if i want to take it somewhere to fly with other people and no, theres not a hope I'll sell my mini for a bigger car

so, anyway, I'm really liking this 3D flying, and want something that'll fit on the back seat, so have been looking at these lil foamys

yesterday (Saturday) i was at the Sandown model expo and saw Ansa products there, i bought a mini IFO from them ages ago, and now their doing foamys

http://www.ansaproducts.co.uk/

Thing is, i have about £200 to spend, if possible that got to buy the following

Airframe
Motor
Rx
Servos

I have a range of NiCds and NiMhs batt packs (mostly 6-7cell), going lipo would be very cool, but i have a feeling that my £200 wont cover that.

so, whats hot and whats not?

Go to ebay and look for real157 he sells 3s li-polys and 3s2p they are very reliable he can even make a custom pack it does cost more but hey can make them just about anyway you want. here are some links for his batts.

1600mah 3s 2p
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll

800 mah 3s1p
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=5900650938

Also you can go to www.foamyfactory.com and look at there planes My favorite is the ultimate. you print plans and make templates and then build you plane tim will give you all the help you
need.

P.S. if those don't work try this
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...sort=3&rows=50
As far as the reciver go with a berg it will save your airplanes it's 50.00 usd @ www.allerc.com

for servos get the gws pico those are my favorite cheap light and lots of torque for weight. you can get those at www.allerc.com

if you don't have an engine don't skimp here go with a mega 16/7/10 ask real15 he also makes custom gearboxes for them don't buy the mega or mec gearboxes go with his gearboxes the best I have ever used. I run his 3 to one on a 13x6.5 prop and it gets 32 oz of thrust at 9 amps.

But be sure to get a hold of real157 on ebay he will hook you up he did me his service is also great.

if you have trouble buying li-poly of ebay go to this site they seem pretty cheap http://www.indoor.flyer.co.uk/cells.htm and for the airframe goto this site if you mite like the looks of a shocky also i've spoken to the shop a couple of time's and they are really helpful sorry the site: http://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/item.asp?ID=2662 also you can get your servo,s from here as well. for the rx your best bet for a cheap one is on ebay i am always buying most of my stuff of there. I'm not sure where to get a cheap brushless from though still looking myself hope this is of help to you

ICE, look into GWS for your powerplants. You can build a mini shocky out of 3mm depron and power it with a GWS IPS-A motor. I know you are in the UK, however check out this site, http://www.balsapr.com/ to compare prices of GWS stuff.
Another good source of info are the discussion groups at www.ezonemag.com.

You can always build a trailer to tow behind your Mini. or do you guys call them caravans?

You can but you won't get he power or the reliablity out of the brush motors but if you can't afford the brushless the brushes do fine. I have run real157's ebay batteries for about a year now and I fly every day on them and they have never gave up on me. I clocked them one time and they ran for 30 minuets with no wind on my brushless motor

very sorry for not replying sooner, been a bit busy

skysthelimit: great reply, thanks alot, but as i'm in the UK much of that wont work.

john19787: Thanks alot for the links

i already have a brushless motor on a 2meter glider, climbs at 80ish degrees, there no way i'm buying brushed motors unless i really have to again
I'm a member of the ezone, can't remember my password though, maybe i should re register

forgot to add, on the trailer front, it would require some welding to the rear subframe, and besides, at 37BHP it struggles getting up big hills with just me driving, just a plain old (25years) 998cc untuned engine maybe someday i'll get a bigger mini (van or estate) and may be able to get my limbo in the back
