Hi,
I have a mountain models minflash which flies real nice. The problem I'm having is flying off of grass. No problem in launching, just every time I land the plane noses over due to the high grass and small wheels(I bent the GWS gear shaft). I was thinking of removing the landing gear but the prop (11"/10") would strike the ground first (?). I know with glow you just adjust prop it against the compression. What the heck do you do with electric in these situations ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just take the landing gear off. I will also cut on weight.
If you want to keep them on you could try to bend the landing gear foward to bring up the nose a little bit but i cant say that will keep it from not tipping over. I think that your best bet is to take off the landing gear all together. Another thing is those GWS gear shafts always bend. I have had plenty of those and all lost from bent gear shafts not burnt bearings. I have seen in some of the post a prop saver that is made with a rubber band but i do not know if that will help the gear shaft. The only way to know is to try.

I would say (if you want to keep your landing gear) to get some bigger wheels. It will look dorky but your plane wont tip over as easily.

I have little 1-1/4 inch foam wheels and the trick is to give a little blip of power right before the wheels touch. Works every time. Bending the gear forward helps alot. Good luck, Joe
