I have the tribute 3d with a 12 x 6 prop, eflite 370, 4100kv brushless motor, castle creations phoenix 10 and a thunder power 1320 mah, 3s lipo pack. Will I burn up the speed controller with this setup?

You should be fine, but check the amps regardless. If you dont have a wattmeter, it is a must investment for E-flight. You can check with a good fluke meter as well.
Is it the stock Gearbox? 6.6:1 on a 4100kv and 12X6, you will probably be around ~10 amps. The P-10 can handle 10a constant and 15 amp bursts, so you are fine there.

They recommend 25Amp so I would be careful I have the same setup only Castle Creations 25. If I want I can try and measure the amperage tonight On mine. The tribute Flys AWSOME, but I flew the Ultimate yesterday for the first time and the tribute went in the corner. Ultimate is so much better.

I used the Park 370 4100, stock gearing and a 12x6 prop. Current draw was around 12-14 amps max depending on the pack used. As a note - these were all Gen 2 10-12C packs I used.

I switched down to an APC 11x4.7 Slow Fly Prop and I get 11amps at 10volts. This equates to 110watts the max limit of the MOTOR. I think the 12x6 is pushing a bit too hard. I have unlimited vertical and retain hover power right to the end of battery capacity.
