Do any of you know if you need a heli radio for using the "collective" er ....reverse pitch, or is it simply a "flip a switch for reverse" mode.

Seems like a collective type set-up would be more desirable, as you could maintain a constant motor RPM and just adjust pitch for thrust. Would probably look really cool on the ground too, as you'd have a run up, and then INSTANT thrust for a snappy takeoff with a collective type varient.

You probably could use it either way, with a good computer radio you should be able to mix the servo to the trottle servo

The one picture I saw was the simple solution; micro switch that gave full forward full reverse

On a 9CAP you couls utiise the sliders or knobs [:-]
