www.3DFoamy.com has three bipes, the Tiburon Bipe, the Advantage Bipe, and the Pitts, which will all be redesigned with his new design soon. I've never flown one of the bipes but they look awesome in the videos.

The reflection isnt designed for outdoor flying. Its designed for indoor flying.
Its important that everyone understand something. Many of these kits are designed for a specific type of flying. Use the tool for the purpose it was designed for.
I see tons of posts on here about how horrible a plane is. Many referring to shockflyer type airplanes made out of light weight depron. Many of these folks are flying these aircraft outdoors, and then post on here complaining about how poorly it handles wind.
Shockflyers and the Flatouts are SPECIFICALLY designed for indoor 3D flight. This is where they excel, and the element where their flight dynamics are best utilized.
Taking a shockflyer outside is like putting a kayak in a swimming pool. Yes it will float, yes you can steer it around, but it wasnt designed for that.
Shockflyer's were designed for indoor flight. When built properly, and flown indoors they fly GREAT!!! When you take one of these indoor planes outside and fly it, it will fly, but since youve taken it out of its intended element, you will have to contend with influences such as wind that it was not designed to handle.
Keep this in mind when you are choosing aircraft. If you plan on flying outdoors, look for planes made from heavier materials such as fanfold or 6mm depron that will be less affected by wind.

I fly a 3dfoamy Pitts outdoors exclusively with landing gear at 16oz with a Himaxx hc2808-1160 and it's a great sport plane; I'm not much of a 3d fan, but it does have great vertical performance....Jim

RE: best foamie bipe?
For outdoor flying, the ZoomBi is my favorite bipe. It doesn't give up too much in performance to something like a 6mm profile depron bipe, but it can last lots longer and take tremendous abuse. Because people tend to abuse them so badly, they need to be equipped with outrunner motors and not gearboxes. Look for our ads on RCU, we have a good sale going on them right now.
For indoor and especially outdoor in calm weather, my favorite is a bipe called the Equalizer from e-foamies. It's an full-fuse, F3A-type depron bipe in the 7-10 oz. range, which makes it a competitor to the Quasar. The small Hacker, the Hyperion ZZ2205, the Himax 2808, the MicroDan 2505 - all are good motors for it on 3S 700-900 packs. The ZZ and Microdan are 30g motors, perfect for indoor. I'd only use the 2808 outdoors. The ZZ ends up being a good compromise in 38T configuration w/ 8X3.8 or 8040 props. Even a beginner at working w/ depron should be able to get this one below 9 oz, and at that wing loading, it flies wonderfully. It reminds me very much of the tensor, but with better tracking. This is what one would expect from the longer fuse design. It's a very smooth flier. We're expecting a shipment of them to arrive tomorrow and we should have them in stock within 24 hours.
I also like the 3DFoamy bipes for outdoors, they're tons of fun, although I haven't tried to minis yet.

RE: best foamie bipe?
Just got a Potenski UZi XXL from Hobby Lobby 3 days ago. finished it last night and maidened today. Already my favorite 3D plane. Very large and bullet proof! All EPP and Carbon, powered with Himax 2025-4200, ,CoolRunnings 25A controller, Cobri gearbox(6.3: 1), 11x7 APC prop and PQ2200 3s. Hover at 3/4 throttle, vertical out of sight, easy knife edges and land at about 2mph. I could drop this thing on a suitcase. Bounced it off a telephone pole, no damage at all, touch & go's off the roof etc..., tough like a wing, but cool like a traditional. Showed my flyin buddy today and he's gotta have one. Can't wait till tomorrow!

RE: best foamie bipe?
Hey guys, I have had 3 bipes. The eflight ultimate, tensor 4D, and the quasar. Out of the 3 I would put them in this order.
1. Quasar - flies slow, Real slow.
2. ultimate - flies like a real plane and very manuverable.
3. Tensor - hate it. It flies like nothing else. You have to use rudder to make a turn OR roll inverted a bit and then use the elevator. Not for the beginner.
