Default E-Flite Mini Edge

Hello
I have from the remains of my Stevens Aero Groove (still not over the loss yet!) a Tornado 3508/1300 outrunner - would this be a good match for the E-Flite Mini Edge, and would it be difficult to fit this motor to the Edge, I believe the Edge is designed for inrunners but not sure about that?
Many thanks
Gerhard

I think it is designed around the *junk imo* inrunner/gearbox setup, but you can put an outrunner on the stick with a special mount... Personally I would wait on the edge and watch some videos, listen to what people think about it, because as advertised, it will have a higher wing loading than the mini funtana, which imo, is a fat pig... however, the video of the mini edge looked alot better 3d'ing than the mini pigtana...

Nice video! I got my Mini Edge now and have simply ordered the recommended E-flite inrunner with it - looking forward to putting it together!

you will be happy with that POWERFULL inrunner as long as the mesh is perfect

My name is Steven Chao with AON Electric. I like to assemble a group of test pilots for our AON brushless motors on E-flite Mini-Edge 540 3D ARF. If you have done some testing for us, please let me know that you are interested immediately.

New testers: There are criterias to our selections. I do not go over them here. Please email me directly, [email protected].

Peace,
Steven Chao,

Could you put a glow engine in this? I saw a mini funtana with a O.S. .15 and wondered if it would work in the edge.

a little tip for ya...toss the stock gearbox and get a himaxx aluminum gear box...they are only like 25 bucks and you dont have to mess with the gear mesh, and the gears are a helluva lot easier to change and IMHO alot easier to find at local hobby shops.

just my.02 cents

im assuming you can, but i have read that the funtana with the 15 in it was even more of a pig off power than the stock set up, so who knows how the edge will do....
