Flatana Brushless upgrade
Hi all. New to the site and electrics, but been in the hobby a while now.
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to get a brushless motor for my flatana that will fit in the stock gearbox and swing the stock 10x3.8 prop. Is this even possible? Also the price is a big factor since I'm on a budget with this one. I would like to spend under $100.00 on a motor & ESC combo.

RE: Flatana Brushless upgrade
I just put a BP-21 brushless on it and it flies great.
It's an outrunner, though, so you won't use the
gearbox. It was about $40 including 15A ESC.
Search ebay for "outrunner esc". I got mine
from seller "planet_tronic". Works great and
arrived 2-3 days after purchase.
This motor has been discussed a lot in the various
forum areas and most seem very happy with it.

RE: Flatana Brushless upgrade
Thanks for the help. I just picked up the BP-12 with 15A ESC. I also got the GWS 0843 prop that was recommended to me but it seems small for this plane. Would I safely be able to run my 10x3.8 on it?
Thanks for the help.
Chris
