Default servo twitching problem?

Hi guys, ive recently put together a 3d plane, and was all set to go when i noticed that as i moved one of the control's (aileron) the elevator servo begins to twitch now and again, when i let off the aileron control, every thing is fine again. The rudder also twitches slightly when the aileron is on full.

(i have my tx set up so aileron and elevator are on opposite sides)

The aileron servo makes a buzz now and again, when its on full, then stops after a few seconds, it doesn't buzz when i disconnect the control horns, but it still causes the other servos to twitch, also the ailerons move very smoothly, and plenty enough in both directions, so i dont really see why it buzzes when connected.

I have used this same set up but with hs-81's with no glitches at all. Under normal circumstances id just swop the servo, but ive had to glue them to the plane, so if any one has any ideas, as to where the problem may be coming from, it would be great to hear from you.

The gear im using is as follows.

TX Futaba T6EXA
RX JR R700
Servos hitec hs-65 hb karbonite

Thanks in advance

Joe

Well, first of all, I'm guessing that the servo is fighting at full travel, or trying to go farther then it should, so see if you can stop it's buzzing by adjusting the endpoint fro the ailerons to stop it from overextending. Aside from that, if that will not solve the problem it could be the servo wire, but is more likely the servo is causeing it. I would recommend getting some debonder and taking the servo out and trying a different one.

I'm confused. Futaba TX and JR RX.....I didn't think that would work.

Thanks loswave, i will test out another servo, as the problem also happens when its not buzzing, i can try it without taking the other servo out, ill just unplug it.

Rush 7, i was unsure this set up would work a couple of years ago, but as i had the TX already and a very poor hitec rx, i thought i try a jr, heard (at the time) the r700 was very good at cutting interferance for a non fancy one (pcm?) But i was pleased to discover this combo does work, though the out puts arnt what they say, ie plug the alerons in to throttle, and elevator to something else rudder is the only one that matches i think, but seems to work great, well at least it did before this issue, but having used the r700 for some time now im fairly confident its not the problem.

Thanks guys, i get to work testing my other servos.

Yeah, your right... mixing a JR reciever with a Futaba transmitter couldn't possibly be your problem.

I'm confused. Futaba TX and JR RX.....I didn't think that would work.
In order for a futaba tx to work with a Jr Rx they would have to be on the same channel, using the same shift and both be fm/ppm.

In North America, Futaba TX are neg shift. JR rx are usually positive shift. Can JR RX be set for negative shift, or do they sell neg shift JR rx?

If they do, this could work fine.

As for channel slots, the radio determines the channel assignment of the functions, not the RX.

Hi guys, sorry if ive caused some confusion, im starting to think i remember hearing that this combo woulnt work. But I chanced it in the end, cause i had also been told that with UK radio and RX it should work, obviously this is what i went for (being a UK resident) this may be where the confusion has come from?

Yes, in the UK I believe both are positive shift and there is no problem.

Did you get your interference problem cleared up? That's what I want to know!

Hi loswave, I took your advise on the endpoints, and that stopped the servo buzzing, but unfortunately this glitch is still here, though having impatiently maidened the plane anyway i found it doesn't effect its flying too noticeably, (but its annoying to know its their) I tried another servo but this still didnt help, but the plane is certainly flyable, as the twitches are relatively small. Just searching for perfection i guess.

Thanks for helping

I had some Hitec sevos on my foamy. Two twitched and jittered all the time. I sent them back and Hitec said the pots were shot. They fixed them. Now about a hundred flights later, they're doing it again. Now I'm switching to E-flight 75s. That's the way for me now.
