3d foamy
I am looking to get into a good 3d flying Foam plane using a rimfire brushless and was looking for suggestions for a plane (kit/arf) that could be flown either indoor or out and is fairly robust (I know its foam) but that will handle minor doinks (technical term) .
Thanks for any imput.

What kind of power does a Rimfire brushless have? Depending on its power output, check out the 3dfoamy.com line of planes. They have 35" mini planes and 40" Pro planes that would meet your needs, depending on what kind of power the Rimfire produces. My Pro Giles was in my trailer that got stolen and I WILL be replacing it with another 3dFoamy.com plane! [8D] The big question is, should I go with a known great airplane (another Giles), or give that sweet-looking Pro Sukhoi a shot? We'll see!

Here is what I was looking at (rimfire) http://www.electrifly.com/motors/gpmg4500.html
but I am open to other power sources. I was looking at the flatout RCU bipe with the Rimfire or maybe a reflection but I am not sure who makes it.

That size motor would work well on the 35" 3DFoamy.com planes. They are very good for indoor flight, but can fly outdoors as well. Check out this video of the 3DF Mini Sukhoi:

I think it would be a little too small for a 40" foamy. My Pro Giles had a Hacker A20-26M, and it was an awesome motor for that size plane with a 3S lithium battery.

RE: 3d foamy
Right now I´m flying this plane. YAK 54 from Revomax.
http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/n...roduct_id=1445
It´s an incredible plane, the outdoor performance is great, even in windy conditions. The structure is very rigid.
I´m really happy, the construction is fast and easy and the graphics are outstanding!!!!!!
Maybe for indoor flying is on the heavy side.

RE: 3d foamy
How do the FancyFoam combo kits compare to 3DFoamy. I am competely new to electric and am trying to get into it to practice 3D. Would rather spend a few hundred dollars on foam planes and actually fly, than sit in front of a computer flying a sim. Any help would be appreciated. I was looking at the fancy foam sukhoi or the Extra. Have considered the Ultimate but unsure about the bibe.
Thanks.
Thanks.
