RE: Good brushless?
The plane and ESC seem ok.I dont know of the GWS motors.I use E flite stuff ,their motors are great.Spend the extra 10 or 20$ on a nice motor, you wont regret it when you get a second or third airframe.
If you want a combo deal I would really suggest looking at Airfoilz if your flying skills are advanced.

RE: Good brushless?
I have the same motor that I use in my shockies, but I don't think it is man enough for the plane you quote if you want true 3d performance. That particular motor will give a max thrust of 653g (22ozs) at 11.7 amps on a 3s Lipo using a GWS 10*6 prop. Your plane, according to the manual, is to weigh between 12 and 14 ozs, so you would have less than 2:1 power to weight ratio. Check out 'gwsus.com' and see if they do a hotter motor that would suit your needs.

You just can not go wrong with Hacker or AXI quality in a rcx planes.com Yak, extra or similar. Excellent tough airframes, Hacker 20-20L, AXI 2208 with 25 amp controller and TP 1320. You will be in heven, trust me.

If you still want to use a GWS motor, it's the 2215/12T that you need. It will give 821g (29ozs) of thrust, at 12.7Amps with a GWS 12*6 prop using a 3s Lipo. This combo equates to 141 Watts of power which will give you unlimited 3d power on you chosen aeroplane without costing a fortune!
p.s.
Performance figures are on GWS's Website for all of their motors and ESC's, plus some other good stuff!

RE: Good brushless?
I love that motor, its a beast for its size, and takes abuse, but its not man enough for a 12ounce 3D. It will make 15 ounces of thrust, and hover. It hoves my 3 channel Tigermoth just fine, but it doesn't have enough thrust to launch up out of a hover. It just sort of crawls up. The GWS 2212 or 2215 are the big brothers to the motor and would do fine.
For that kind of money, I would skip the Electrafly ESC and get a CC Thunderbird 18
