Hi I post this add wanting to know more about this seagull. It is a pretty cheap ARF an I was wondering if it was worth the money.
If you have this plane i would gladly appreciate you if you could tell me more about it.
How does it run
Is it good for 3d or or more pattern flying.

I don't have the plane but am looking at it myself. Go to RC Groups and you'll find a thread on it. It seems like guys are pretty high on this plane. It's a good flyer in the Park 480 range. I am definetly considering it, but may build the X-Ray first.

I had some problems with mine, but they weren't with the plane. I fly it with the Park 480 and the E-Flight ESC. I started out with the E-flight S-75 servo's.....Not good!.....Then I switched to the HS56 Karbonite servo's.....They were better, however my rudder servo developed the jitters early on.....Then I modded the servo holes and switched them all over to Hitec HS 81's....No more servo problems........

As far as the plane was concerned, there are two areas that gave me problems. the first was the joint that joined the left and right elevator.....Way too wimpy to do much extreme stuff.....The second was the horizontal stabilizer, itself....Again, too wimpy.....Mine folded on a high speed pull out from a vertical dive. I remade the evevator joiner with some light ply and haven't had any more issues. I rebuilt the horizontal stabilizer and then put a couple of carbon fiber struts in place to make stiffer. (similar to the E-Flight Mini FuntanaX). this worked well and I haven't any issues, since.

While it is not the best plane I've flown, it flys very well and would serve as a good 3D trainer.....There are some that say the Park 480 with a 3S 2100 lipo make the plane too heavy....They are actually flying it with a Park 450 and 3S 1800 lipos....This may be ok, but on a plane of this size, it would seem a little under powered......Watch your CG closely. This plane is very light and moving the CG as little as 1/2 inch will greatly affect the way it flys. Another thing I found is that you definately do not want to over prop this plane. I had issues of flight being affected by propeller torque. When I moved back to a smaller one, most of this went away......JMHO....Pat
