Default Micro Rx 2.4Ghz Help

I cannot seem to understand all this so I'm going to add the links with my question and hopefully someone can help me out...

It says that it is only compatible with micro connectors... does this mean the my Hitec HS 65 MG, HB servos are going to need a special hook up at the end so the can connect to my Rx....

Here are the things I thought I would need, I believe they are micro connectors.

Will these hook up to the servos either, how do I go about getting this to work, or should I look into another 2.4ghz Rx, if another Rx is what I need that will be unfortunate... the only other ones are 129.99 and up... so that should set me back another month or so

Yes, micro connectors are not the same as regular servo connectors. You would have to:

- Buy servos with micro connectors (mentioned in one of your links)
- Get an adapter cable (the one you mention is an extension, and does not make regular servos work with a micro rx.)
- Splice micro plugs onto your servos (NOT recommended)
- Get a different rx.

Sorry. Hope this helps.

You can see just how small the micro connectors are compared to a standard plug. There is a standard plug in the bottom of the micro connectors on the receiver. I suggest you get a receiver with the standard pins. Those micro connectors are a bit of a pain.

Yep, apparently futaba in their infinite wisdom have decided to screw the gen public, by making us buy a completely new set of servos and connectors for their new rx,,I'll wager they will die out of the micro stuff soon enough as others are making it cheaper and smaller with regular connectors,,and maybe the 2.4 standard stuff too with $120 rx's...Rog

I have been complaining to them about this for some time. In europe they sell a 4 channel 2.4ghz with universal connectors. i asked them about it in one of my posts but it got deleted.

if you look in the radio forums you will notice someone announced that in december futaba is coming out with a 4 channel 3.5 gram 2.4ghz receiver. not sure who they are and why others dont have a release statement saying so.
