Hey, I am really new to this...
I got this foamy body... its about 500g or 17.64oz... would like to know which controller and motor combo to get for it? I can get Hyperion and also E-Flite if its possible to give me results for them...

When you say you're new to this do you mean new to RC or new to electric as opposed to IC, if you're new to RC you'll destroy that plane in approx 3 seconds as it not a beginners model.
If you'ew just new to electric google for emax 2215/20 would be a good motor and give you unlimited vertical with a 25amp ESC.

new to Planes, I have a Cessna 182... this one I got as a gift... I will only fly it once I am completely full of confidence with the Cessna... I can fly the simulator with CAP's, Edge 540 and the YAK very well... but it was a lot different the first time I actually flew that Cessna... thanks for that info, I saw that motor and just wanted some clarification... thanks man BTW which size prop? 10x4.7 ok?

It'll fly with that motor and a 10 x 4.7 SF prop, I use it on a Multiplex Parkmaster which is a bit heavier aroubd 600 gms and it's ballistic on that.
Even if you're quite advanced with the Cessna and have quite a bit of Sim time it's still a big jump they really are different animals, I'd probably look for something in between.

o yeah! I know those... they fly them indoors here, cant really outdoors... we have like wind all the time... well I all ready got the YAK foamy so might just as well try and fly it, got to learn sometime... payed nothing for it, was a gift so at most I lose that... the electronics and motor and stuff I can keep if worse happens...

If you're going to try I assume that the Cessna's 4 channel with ailerons (if it's 3 channel I REALLY wouldn't even think about trying the Yak before an aileron trainer) then slowly not all at once and not both at the same time, increase the throws and move the CoG back and it'll liven up it's responsiveness and sharpen up your responses.
Just to give you a comparison before I went to the Acromaster which can be set up to be more docile than the Yak I'd flown a MiniMag for 5 months and had got to the stage that I was literally throwing the plane around in the sky knowing that if I got it totally wrong I could correct it rather than crash and was flying full circuits inverted.
If you launch it and it's not trimmed right use the sticks to fly it to almost double teh height you normally fly at bring it back to 40% throttle with that motor (or less) and then think about trying to trim it .
Personally I'd hang onto it and keep it as a good 3rd / 4th plane but if you insist on flying it go to a club and get some help !!
I know you got it for nothing but it would still seem a shame to wreck and then go and buy something you can fly because if you do that 1st then you've already got something for after that and would suggest you get something that would use the same motor, esc, batteries etc so your only cost is the airframe and then transfer the guts later !!!

the only problem I got is wind... I will have to be more careful, cause my wing snapped on the Cessna last week Saturday and I had a spectacular crash... my friend rated it 9/10... we came to conclusion that its 77% totaled... but after some CA Foam glue and carbon rods a new motor and landing gear its operational again... I really only need to fly when there is little or no wind at all... what is the most wind these foamy's can handle?

Unfortunately this hobby and wind don't mix, whereby when you start you can't cope with the wind as you get more advanced and are flying more precise aerobatics but the winds stopping you rather than your ability you don't want to fly in the wind either.
I live in The Witterings on the South Coast in the UK, the estuary was an ideal sheltered landing spot for the Saxons many many years ago, Witterings is a Saxon name for Windy and with the last 2 summers we've had in the UK it's been "limited" flying.
The only planes that handle wind reasonably are Delta wings but again they're not a second plane and depends how you want to fly in the future, personally I enjoy 3D and just flying fast with the occasional loop / fast roll doens't do it for me but it does for some!!!!
Down the road I'd have a look at the Acromaster, it's very durable and handles the wind better than a few of my approx 45" Balsa planes and is very durable but again it's not for you for now but something tolook forward to

Hungry for info aren't you, same as Parkmaster - Multiplex - I hasten to add I'm not "associated" with any company at all, there will be other people that swear by one manufacturer as they've had good experience / success with their products. I learnt on a HobbyZone Supercub which is a brilliant beginners plane and have Extreme Flight, Precision Aerobatics and Hyperion planes.
The Acromaster does have a motor vibration they need to cure but if you get one that has it and can live the sound it's still a great everyday plane but I do think they should to dfo something to cure it and yes it can be a "Parkflyer" but especially when you start you want a reasonabel sized park.

thanks man, will consider all this and in meantime keep the YAK in tact... have to learn someday and somehow... I will be able to fly it, but to get it down and land it safely... hmmm, thats another thing... even with the Cessna if the wind takes it I am in trouble as I found out last weekend...
