Unfortunately this hobby and wind don't mix, whereby when you start you can't cope with the wind as you get more advanced and are flying more precise aerobatics but the winds stopping you rather than your ability you don't want to fly in the wind either.
I live in The Witterings on the South Coast in the UK, the estuary was an ideal sheltered landing spot for the Saxons many many years ago, Witterings is a Saxon name for Windy and with the last 2 summers we've had in the UK it's been "limited" flying.
The only planes that handle wind reasonably are Delta wings but again they're not a second plane and depends how you want to fly in the future, personally I enjoy 3D and just flying fast with the occasional loop / fast roll doens't do it for me but it does for some!!!!
Down the road I'd have a look at the Acromaster, it's very durable and handles the wind better than a few of my approx 45" Balsa planes and is very durable but again it's not for you for now but something tolook forward to
