To kick things off, thought I'd post some pictures of the Overlander extra 260, any questions just fire away
My setup is:
Tornado Thumper 3548
Tornado 60A speed controller
Hitec HS 65's (ailerons and elevator)
Hitec HS225 on rudder
Hitec Electron 6 rx
Xoar 14x7 prop
Tornado 3S1p 2500mAh Lipo
Love flying this plane and the build was a joy.
Heres the brand new promo video from Mark Barnes, pilot is Nathan Farrel-Jones one of the best IMAC and 3D pilots in the uk at the moment.

Hi,
I`ve just got the Overlander Extra 260 too. I got it from "Model shop Leeds" for £44.00....what a bargain!!!
It`s only had a handful of flights...thanks to the big CHILL, can`t wait for summer
What was your flying weight?.....mine is definately heavier than the manufacturers stated flying weight. The only modifications i made were larger 2" lightweight foam wheels and a DU-BRO pull-pull system, as i thought the stock one was poor and difficult to setup.
Is there a great difference in performance with the wood prop as opposed to the APC?
My setup is:
TORNADO THUMPER 3548
E-PRO SP50A-BEC-AIR BRUSHLESS ESC
HITEC HS65 HB X 3
HITEC HS81 X 1
APC 14 X 7 E
FLIGHTPOWER 3S1P 3700MAH LI-PO
FUTABA R617FS 2.4GHz FASST RECEIVER

sounds like your set-up is about right, Theres not a huge differance in the props to be honest but the secret with this type of model is keep the weight down, you will enjoy it either way

Excuse me for my ignorance but can someone tell me the connection between Cermark / Overlander, I was trying to find out more about this size range that Cermark have bought out the other day but there seems very little information about them.
I was also interested in their 40" Yak a while ago but again as I couldn't find out anything about them or anyone that had flown one I gave it a miss rather than taking the chance.

To clarify, Cermark only brought the 39/40" planes to the Uk, Overlander picked up the 49" and the 55" planes and distribute them,
Your right there isnt alot of info on the smaller models but there is plenty on the 49" range of wich this extra is one

Hi Ollie,
Nice setup. We pretty much use the same setup, the diff are;
1 x HS-81 (or 82MG) istead of HS225
1 x 3s2100 (25C constant discharge capable) good battery is critical here for max performance.
Don't know about your motor, but in the USA, we are recommending the following motors, NEO-10, NEO-15, Power 10, Power 15. Cool vid, can we put up a link to the video?
Peace,
Steven Chao,
CERMARK

Hi Guys,
Ive recently purchased an Extra 260, im using a Thumper 3548 motor, and after about 8 flights the motor mount has fallen apart bascially the motor feel out with part of the face of the motor mount. Ive repaired it and used some metal to strengthen it.. One problem now is is that the motor shaft is bent.. How can replace the shaft, ive taken the motor apart but just cant shift the shaft.
Any advice welcome.
Thanks
Dave
