Intererested to know what prop you favour.... manufacturer not size...
If your favoured manu is not listed select other and tell us which it is and why...
thanks

I use all of them and like them all for the planes that I put them on. Does that make any sense? Sometimes I will use all three brands on the same plane on the same day.

This will end up being a popularity poll based on the props used on the most common plane sizes and won't give you or anyone else any useful info.
My current "favorite" props are a 27x10 Menz and 17x10 APC... mainly because they are on my two favorite planes. It has little to do with the performance of the prop.
The "best" prop I have flown with was a P-tip prop made by Prince, but they are bloody expensive, like several hundred dollars a prop. For that reason, I use the APC and Menz, even if they technically aren't my "favorite."
I also like Zingers because they are real good for mixing paint.

for glo engines I use APC,
for petrol Menz.
I'm amazed when anyone buys a master airscrew. You spend all that time and money putting together a model with a decent engine etc, then then choose a crapy prop thats best used for mixing epoxy !
I have tried a Just Engines Carbon jobbie for my moki 135, and I have to say I was impressed, although I only had 4 flights with it before I lost it and the model in a mid air.

Virtually all APC, so will vote that way, but recently tried some Bolly Clubman props, and was impressed with them.
Basically, APC do so well as the props are stiff and well designed, making them efficient, and they do such a big range. Bolly Clubman are a far smaller range, and the main Bolly props are dificult to get hold of in the UK, as well as being v expensive (not that the big APC are that cheap).
I wish both did more 3/4 bladed props.

Mejzlik, then menz.
Used to use apc on glow, but no more glows.
Dont like Bolly Carbon. For the money you would expect them to be finished off.
SAB carbon are good, If you can get them.
Maybe its just me, I cant resist Carbon. Bikes covered in the stuff.

I like the APC on my stunt planes but the Master Screw on my combat planes. The Apc is probably better but seems more brittle where the MS can take the skid in landings of combat planes.

APC on my small planes, and Mejzlik 3 blades on my big ones. Bolly? Yeah, they perform, but they are too damned loud! When the neighbors come from 5 miles away they generally look like this >>>
. Actually I hope that the companies that were importing those things have quit selling them until they can come out of the dark ages and quiet those things down. There just isn't any sense at all in that raquet. The bolly's on the big engines will gaurantee that the flying field will be lost. Very few if any TOC guys or Masters piltos use these props anymore. Even the Menz props are becomming a thing of the past. Loud does not mean performance anymore. On the glo engines APC pretty much has edge with their props. They're the most efficient on the glo engines.

This poll does not really show the true spectrum of propellers, since it does not list Menz, AM, Mejzlik, Biela, 3W, MSC, Engle, BME, Bambula, or other props associated with giant scale engines.
I use APC's exclusively on my small glo stuff. . but for the larger gassers you have to be able to "prop" the plane for the environment and flying style you are doing. For 3D a Menz is pretty darned hard to beat, though the CF "3D prop" from 3W is better at some maneuvers and is also a great all around prop. . .the Menz spools VERY quickly. . about 50-% faster than any CF prop out there, and pulls like a tractor. . has GREAT downline braking as well and is smooth and very stable on approaches and landings. . like having a parachute in front of the plane when you kill the throttle but jsut putt putts along at 2 clicks off idle.
For all-around flying a prop that covers the entire spectrum well is the Mejzlik 2-blade. . its decently quiet unless you really try to rip it, accelerates very well for 3D flying, and is very smooth and predictable in sequence flying. About the best all-around prop out there.
The Biela, IMHO, is THE prop for Sequences. . it is a lot like a Menz, but ismade out of CF, so its heavier and spools slower. It also pulls like a tractor (like a menz) does not unload because the blade is stiffer (so it is very quiet) and it's constant speed in the air is VERY good for Sequence style flying. . I prefer it over any other prop in that environment.
The AM is very narrow, as is the Engle. I've never used an Engle, but the AM gets the rpm UP and keeps it there. . one of the easiest props to rip, and it does not pull as well as a Mejzlik. . downline braking really suffers with this prop. If you WANT to make noise. . this is the one to buy.
3-blades are a totaly different animal. . . . . .mejzlik and AM make the best out ther IMHO. . with the mejzlik poulling harder (by just a little bit) and the AM letting the engine rev more freely due tot he thinner blades. both pull very well (for a 3-blade) but lose about 20% performance over a 2-blade. Extremely quiet, though. . . .which is very necessary these days.

I use APC, Zingers , and Master Air Screw. On every plane I try alot of props, sometimes even the Master Air Screw will give me what I'm looking for, though they break, too easy. That must cause a danger at some point.
P.S. The "old timers" say a two blade is more efficient then a three blade, and on some old super light Free Flight planes the one blade prop was even more efficient then the two blade prop....
Won't that make, the "no blade" prop, the most efficient?
