Default .25 sized 3D's?

Just finished it up and it is 3lbs 3oz dry with saito 40a, 4 225's, 1 S133, and a 500mha nimh. Off for the first flight!

That was the post I made on the other thread after it was finished

Yes Andy, that is the plane. I did nothing to lighten either. The saito had PLENTY of power, just uncontrollable to the point I feel I might have been getting interferance. I did not glue the wing together, not sure how much epoxy weighs, but that could be the difference.

Edible,

On the post reply page click on IMG above the text box and enter the web address of the picture. The attach image (small picture) is for when an image is on your hard disk.

LS171

Did you not really have a sucessful maiden then? Was it uncontrollable constantly or just intermitantly? I'm gonna take mine up today and see what happens. The CG is right at the front of the limits in the instructions so hopefully it'll be quite stable! I've got some lead with me, tho I really don't want to use it I did epoxy the wing together but didn't use too much so I don't know how theres such a difference in weight (aside from my Leo 37 weighs about 14oz (inc silencer) and I don't know what your little Saito weighs) I'll let you know how it goes.

Default well it flies........

...............but its very twitchy! Even on low rates its a handful, but the wind today wasn't very good for test flying. With its 4lb it seemed to fly quite slowly ok and the Leo pulled it around the circuit at about 1/4 to 1/3 quite happily. It is quite unstable in pitch and my CG is actually at 85mm, not at the front I didn't get a chance to try the stall, as it started thundering about 5 minutes in, and when I landed two cowl screws had worked loose too. I'm gonna make a few adjustments and then see if it will do 3d next week. At least it came home in one piece!

Edible, the wing comes as 2 halves which have to be joined with epoxy to make a single one piece wing. Bit of a fiddle to get it all straight and not to use too much glue!

Pic below is me looking nervous before the first flight!
