Default Super Stick help

Ive been shopping at my LHS for a stick and found a Hangar 9 Super Stick 60. The gent also has a os 91 2cycle and told me that it would have the power to hover the plane and climb out from a hover. The specs for the plane say .70 max for 2c. I would like any opinions on this combo. Any better options on engine would help to...Thanks '

I would think the os 91 fx would be perfect for hovering!
The 91 is the same size as the 60 so it will drop right in. As for power there will be more than enough. If I were doing it I would use nothing less than the os 91 fx!

hope this helps!

Default thanks Rick

Thanks for your advice. I also was wondering what props would work well with this engine. The book in the box says 15x8 thru 17x6. Seems like a whole lota prop for a 91 but, New territory for me. I have a few 30 thru 40 size ships but ive never run any thing this big. Thanks agin

you can use a APC 14x4, 14x6 and 15x6 for 3D flying.
I am putting together the same combo, H9 ultra stick with the OS 91 FX .

Default Props

TD1 thank you for the advice. I found a couple 14x6 props at my lhs and after a couple days assembling i proceeded to my feild. This was a thrill for me to fly a plane that would climd at half throttle. WOW... i did some basic stuff and practied comming in for landings. Made three flights getting used to the ship and pushing the envelope a little and crashed on my last landing...heheee o well,, some epoxy and 2 hours later im ready for tomarrow night. Thanks agin for the advice... Damm this was a fun evening.

I haven't flown mine yet, should be ready for the weekend, I had the 91 fx on a stick .40 and that plane was ballistic .
I have flown a friend of mine Ultra stick with the Saito 100 and the plane just floats in the air I think my combo wont be as strong but I will have plenty of power to do anything.
