Can you tell me the best way to make the cut outs on the items that you need to remove the monokote to attach the surfaces together??? I did try on a test piece to use a soldering iron but very poor results.... How are most of you guys doing this if using a blade cutting the monokote without danger of cutting the wood??? I appreciate any help on this and Thanks in advance.... Ken

just mark with a felt tip pen and i take a exacto blade and lay it on it's side and cut the covering along the mark i made. just go slow cause with the blade layed over it doesnt want to cut straight. this way thecovering doesnt get damaged.

I use a old butter knife that I heat up over a stove burner. It is not necessary to get it red hot and don't use a good knife because it will discolor
