Started with nothing, moved to a neck strap, now use a tray with fingers and thumbs, sticks extended to full. Never looked back.

Ultimate, I got it from M+M Developements. Small place Wales I beleive. My tray is at my parents and it has an address on it. If I remember I'll make a note and let you know.
There are other trays available, look through the cataloques (Irvine, Perkins etc) and order through you model shop. I seem to remember that they tend to be in the Heli sections.
To add to the discussion, it is a matter of personal preference. I nearly went back to a neck strap and thumbs at first, then someone said it was best to extend the sticks if using finger and thumbs.

Started with a strap and then went to a tray. Just a more relaxing way to fly, mostly I use thumb and finger. If flying someone elses plane I just use what ever setup they have / hand me.

Perkins do some trays
http://www.jperkinsdistribution.co.uk/
do a search for "tray" and it brings up a couple of options. You should be able to order through your LHS.

This is what I have been using for 3 yrs now and love it. Started with holding the tx then switched to the tray. I have small hands so this really helped in getting the sticks to the inner corners. LOL

Hi Mark,
I fly with nothing at all, but may change to a strap with my new 9C radio. Havent used the 9C much as of yet. The 9C seems a little heavier than the 8U.
Anyway the carbon fiber landing gear works great on my Extra 300XS

The 9C may weigh more. I went from 8U to 9C and loved the switch. I used all the rich programming in the 8U so moving to 9C was a snap. I like the radio.
I have used a neck strap (always) for the last few seasons. I still fly pretty much with my thumbs.

I find when I fly with out my strap my arms are tense and I stiffen up. The strap frees up my other fingers for switches and stuff. I use thumb and forefinger and found extending the sticks also helped.

Tray for me. I use a home made one which is ultra light weight and very un-bulky. I can use F+TH w/o a tray but it aint as nice. i use full length sticks.
Im planning to make a new one as mine is broken and i cant be bothered to fix it. i trid a bit of carbon tows on it but it wont hold[

I don't use anything - i mean nothing - not even a transmitter. I use thought control ever since the mothership landed and, in exchange for directions to the 7eleven, they gave me thought control. I also use it to order online without the use of a PC.
