i just dont want the plane dead in a vertical fly!

almost any plane will hover with the right engine. you don't need huge control surfaces or a rearward CG i have seen someone tourqe rolling a pattern model into a dam. so there is no reason why it shouldn't hover. any model is good enough to learn on provided you have theb right power.

One of my buddies had a dazzler with a 46fx on it and it did not have unlimited verticle. He really liked the plane. The flight performace was very similar to my somethin extra although I must have been lighter as I could keep going up when he couldn't (46fx on mine too). I really didn't like the landing gear. It was so springy that he'd bounce all over the place if he didn't grease the landing. Other than that it was a very nimble little plane. Lots of fun but if you're looking for unlimited verticle, you'll need to make it as light as possible and use more engine than the 46fx (46la won't even get close to unlimited verticle).
