Well I have a UCD3D 60 NIB so i have not flown them as of yet.
But I do have a HYPE 3D up and flying and I can tell you this Is an awesome plane!!
The UCD3D has been sitting in the box since they first came out so that should say something.
Best of luck with what ever you go with!

Well since I dont own either plane I can only offer an opinion based on my limited knowledge of both planes. I think the question should be what are you looking to accomplish and what are your skills. I think the UCD is more for the person learning or breaking into 3D where as the Hype is definately more a wild plane that's better off in the hands of a person who has already developed their 3D fingers....atleast to a moderate degree.
But I can say that if the UCD 46 doesnt fly any better than the UCD 60 I wouldnt own one. But then again I'd like to think that I already have decent 3D fingers

UCD if this is you are new to 3D.
Hype if you are a seasoned 3D pilot.
Look at price also, the Hype is not cheap and not designed to take a hard landing.

The UCD 46 is not exactly the same as the UCD 60. The UCD 46 incorporates some design changes and it 3d's better right out of the box without tinkering with engine thrust vectoring and CG changes. Mine came out just about right with a Saito 72 and Futaba S3004 servos all around.

Dhauch,
Yes, my Saito 72 is mounted upside down in the UCD 46 and it performs flawlessly that way. The fuel tank is in the stock location right behind the firewall.

Hi,
I own a UCD 46 and 60. My 46 has Saito 100 in it, the 60 has a YS FZ 110 in it. I also just starting flying the Hype 3D with Weston 50 T-1. The UCD's don't every come close to comparing to the Hype 3D. If you want a plane that hovers right after you put it together and the CG is dead on without adding any weight and it does 3D, and is a great flying model, get the Hype 3D.
Regards,
Chuck
