Shortman,
The Edge you saw with the close call is now my Edge, but when my friend Meyrick had it. He's a great pilot. If I remember correctly, that was probably just a downdraft, because it harriers fine now, no rock as long as you don't fool around with the ailerons. Thats why the Edge gets into a rock, because if a wing drops, and you correct mostly with aileron, it has a lot of roll inertia in a harrier, so it rocks very easily. It will harrier.
As for tank size, I have a 24oz. too, and I only dream of 15 minutes.
I usually get 8-9min. tops of 3D before it flames out. The Moki guzzles! Fuel costs cet the wallet skinny.

If i was you I make my own glow it is alot cheaper that way. Does the edge harrier roll very well because if the alierons are responsive in a harrier I think it should.
Thanks

I was able to get some what of a rolling harrier out of it. It was pretty ugly though due to me being in the early learning stages of this manuever at that time. I do think there is enough aileron authority to pull the manuever off if setup correctly.

Yeah you do you run castor or a castor syntetic bled. Also what nirto percent do you run.
Here is the mixture for 10% nitro:
72% methanol, 10% nitro, 8% coolpower (blue), 10% casotor
18% coolpower if you don't run castor.

Yep! It 3D's really good. Better than most others in that size that I have flown. Despite all of the wingrock complaints, mine is completely solid in a harrier! As long as you hold it nose high and steer it with the rudder and not the ailerons, its pretty stable.
As for engines, a Moki 180 or a Moki 210 will fly it great with UNLIMITED vertical!
I think that you can only get them in arf form, I may be wrong but I don't know.

Skysthelimit,
If you want a reasonable performing Edge that is cheap to run take a look at the Wildhare RC 28% Edge 540. It is reasonable priced too an will take a 50CC gasser. You could put a ZDZ or a DA on it and have a blast doing 3D. There is a video of it performing on the Flying Cirkus site.
I noticed that you are from Pensacola, FL. I do not live too far from there. I live in Loxley, AL. This is about 20 minutes north of Gulf Shores. My club's main field resides in Foley, AL. I usually fly at Silverhill which is a naval field we lease for the weekends.

As for the CA Extra, I think it will take a 50cc gasser. Go to 3Dbatix.com to see my friend Zak 3D his with a ZDZ 50.
PS: While your there, check out the vids of my friend Meyrick's H9 Edge. (which is now mine)
Check out all the pics too. You can find both the Edge and the CA Extra in there.
Some great vids and pictures on there! Great site!

The edge is awesome the wing rock could be fixed did you move the cg back any if youdid that would be no problem. My foamy used to rock more than that and I move the cg back to almost 1/4 inch and it is rock solid now and flies very neutral. I might get the edge very nice plane and all it's litle quirks could be fixed easiley. Look like he has a hard time hovering it how well does it hover?
thanks

I think the CG went back a little bit, and now it's fine. It's pretty easy as long as you keep it torking around. I can also do a normal hover pretty easily. Before he sold it to us he was hovering it pretty good! I think it had to do with the CG moving back as well. Great Airplane!!![8D]
