Heard I think John (not Robert) Miles "Music ",and thought what a fantastic tune to fly to, sweeping orchesstral passages nice vocals and an upbeat middle section plenty of variarion of pacem surely someone could make use of it!

the Beatles - that egg man thing.. that would be a hoot, everyone laughing so hard they dont see mistakes
Ive been thinking and listening and I have come to a conclsion. I will open to the Top Gun theme, thats just a given and do some slow gentle aeros, then I really want to do stairway to Heaven coz so many people know it, the only trouble is what aeros do you do at the start before the serious rock which I could have incredible fun with??
So could you please help me with that

stairway to heaven, possibly the greatest ever song written IMO. very good song to fly to, its easy rock in the beggining and at the end were it steps up a beat you can do all your wild 3D with it

Its all dependant on what you want to say with your plane and indeed what the plane (ok.. you... ) are capable of. My suggestion would be to vary the tempo. Its all great having some fast-paced rock/ techno anthem blaring away but what are you going to do to it? A couple of snaps on the beat and maybe the odd wall at the end of the bar? Would get pretty tired if you didn't keep it up.. and then... I would suggest three pieces of music in your set. Try something very graceful and very mood setting/ atmospheric to start, fly the plane slowly and with precision. Use the sky and use your smoke. Then allow the beat or tempo to build insert the more daring maneuvers then as a finale go big and end on a high. I have several sequences that have been studio mixed, but some tracks that really stand out: (excuse the European overtones here) Pomp and Circumstance, Balero, Carmen, Robert Miles - Children (mentioned before), some salsa, some waltz (Blue Danube, etc).. well I could go on. Best if its catchy, best if its well known. Its all about building and its all about entertaining... yet its also about being to pull it off consistantly to the music. I entered a competition last year and one guy flew a 3m plane like a control line all stunts and tumbles and the music stabbing and techno-ing away. It was a total mess. Yes he got close to the ground but after 2 minutes we didn't really care. Another guy flew slow, graceful and wide then tighter as the music progressed and upped in temp. It was quite a sight. He didn't blend 50cm from the ground but it really looked like he put the time in on the synch. Ok, I've said enough.

Ok guys, here it is, I have finally finished mixing up my first track. It is as follows 1minute and 5 seconds of the Top-gun theme, quick DJ scratch, into Song 2 by Blur, which seems to follow nicley into the sedate beginning of Bohemian Rahpsody by Queen. Its sounds really good, and runs for a total of 8 minutes and 3 seconds which is a long time for that kinda concentration but Im already mixing a second shorter track.
Let me know what you think, Fly-guy

for regular aerobatics i would say something like Bon Jovi: Wanted dead or alive.
for something more like 3d, i would say something like either Pink Floyd: Young Lust, or Deaf Leopard: Pour some sugar on me.
other suggestions might be "Numb" by linkin park, Fly away by lenny kravitz,

Howsa goin guys, been (the)thinkin on this topic for a while and watching the olympics on our TV network here they have been using the song EXplosive by Bond, they are an all girl band who play the violin, cello and so on. (profileIt is an all musical piece but is very upbeat and almost has a rock feel to it, if you know it tell me what you think.
