Hey All,
I was informed today that I made a mistake calling the Signal Seekers event Tim Jesky's contest. I saw on the District 4 website's Contest Calender that both Tim and Bob Kane were listed as contact individuals. In deeper research I found that Bob is listed as the CD, I hope I didn't offend anyone by calling this contest Tims' event. I would be willing to bet that neither Tim nor Bob were concerned about this oversight on my part. I sincerely apologize if it has caused anybody hard feelings toward me. The same person that pointed out my mistake let me know that I have to be very careful how I word things on these discussion pages or I could make a lot of enemy's very quickly.
I have to say, if that is true, I guess maybe I shouldn't be on these pages. I submit on these forums because of my love of the hobby. I chat with people like Andrew and Scott, not only because I happen to have met these young men, but because I happen to respect their ability's as pilots. I was asked today when I got to be such good friends with Andrew. I don't remember ever saying that Andrew and I were friends. I had a few conversation's with Andrew when he was working, before I even knew who he was. I was impressed with his knowledge of RC and he was friendly, even to a beginner like myself, and he was only 15 at the time. I learned later who he was and at a local contest he asked to fly my Top Cap. I learned more in the few minutes Andrew flew my plane, then I had learned in my 2 years as a pilot. He had my plane doing things I didn't know it was capable of doing.
As to Andrew and myself being friends, he wouldn't know me if I were to walk into the store tomorrow. I just happen to be a huge fan of his talants as a pilot and am impressed with his poise as a young man.
Okay, I'm done!!!
Apologies to any that I may have offended on the Seekers event issue.
