I'm thinking about this plane for my OS 1.60. I've read recently on here about the ARF. Tell me your experiences with this plane. I'm thinking the ARC would be the way to go.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Pugs, I've heard a lot, both positive and negative about this plane. Several flyers did quite well with it at last years NATS. Piedmont Models is supposed to come out with a retrofit set of wings and stabs to make the airplane 3D capable. This prototype was sent to Don Szur, but I don't think he has flown it yet. I'm waiting on the 2-meter Matrix!

go to: www.piedmontmodels.com
They are having a sale on the Focus - ARC - $595; ARF - $695.
Overall, the positives far outweigh any negatives. The kit is reviewed in the May issue of RCModeler.
I just bought the ARC version myself (don't have it yet) as I prefer to Monokote my own color scheme.
The RCM version flew with an OS 1.60FX.
Good Luck!!

Default RCM review.....

Yeah I read it....but if I bought every plane that they thought was good......I'd have a bunch of crap.....

Now if RC Report did a review on it.....I'd know if the Focus was any good.

With the wood won at last years Nat's with this plane you could start your own trophy shop. The plane is certainly capable!

The plane is certainly capable and the current price is attractive. You would have to push in the engine box with the 1.60 in order to get it to balance. Most tend to be nose heavy. Some small flaws in the kit but nothing that can't be corrected.
