No pictures but a buddy of mine has one and loves it. Started out with a ZDZ 50 on it but he pulled that off and replaced it with a OS 1.60 with a pump. Likes it much better now and he can fly the $&%@ outta it.

The March copy of "Fly RC" did a good review on this ARF with a ZDZ40 and a Moki 1.80. End result:
The Moki 1.80 (13.1 lbs) flew a little noticeably lighter and did Harriers a little better. It had more of a floating feel to it. The author had to move the elevator servos under the canopy and do pull on both halves to get the CG right. Thirsty for glow so more $$ to fly.
When you were hovering and needed vertical to pull out the ZDZ40 (14.2 lbs) had the edge. Also flying all day on $3.00 worth of gas is a plus. The elevators were mounted in the tail which is much easier assemble than pull pull.
He said that both engines had more than enough power to 3D and the plane flew very well with both of them.

You can always go electric
Seriously, this is to give you an idea of flight characteristics. Jason Shulman is at the sticks mind you, so your mileage may vary.

I'd never really seen an electric plane fly other than a park flyer. After watching that one I"ll scratch em off my list of stuff to buy/build one day.
Most ridiculous thing is to see a 1/4 scale plane fly by 5 feet off the ground and hear an electric whirrrr sound wise.
Just my opinion but that really turned me off.

There are three kind of power systems....Wet, Dry and that which has not been thought of yet.

What's the point of flying an "Edge" that is a scale plane if it sounds like a dremel tool when it flies by?
I have nothing against electric but what's the point on a scale plane?
If I'm gonna go thru the hassle of flying a plane that is a scale one, I want it to sound at least somewhat like a real plane. Now if you fly a pattern plane or a fun fly plane I could see it.

Understand. It is merely a choice. Both have pros and cons seen from different point of view. I fly a few Electric scale planes (Extremeflight Yak 54, 1/5 Pitts M12) and some not so scale Electrics (Sig Rascal 40, UCD-46, Banchee E3D). Just what I prefer. Not better or worst. Just different.

Here is mine (well its a extra not an edge), it has a D/A 50 CC sounds great, thunders by on low passes, I cant get behind an electric big plane by a Vacuum if you want a big electric motor! The plane is so light with the D/A it is vertical rocket!!!

Here is my edge with a ZDZ 50 NG. For my flying I have found the 22-8 menz to be the best prop, the 50 spins it 7200 static. Plenty of performance I have 2 servos in each wing. Weighs 16lbs dry. I just replaced the 50 ZDZ with a 40 ZDZ. The 50 is going on a Double-Vision and i never used all the power the 50 offered anyway except to go straight up. The 40 weighs about 7oz less than the 50---not a large difference. I am going to fly it this morning and will let you know how the plane does with the smaller motor.

This is my DP EDGE 540T, It started with an MDS 148 and pitts muffler. DON"T MAKE THIS MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!
The MDS had plenty of power but if it don't run it ain't worth &%*@!!!!. I changed over to a Saito 1.50 and with 30% Heli fuel it's straight up is not unlimited but it's pretty good. Have not weiged it yet but it's got to be in the 12 lb. range.
It's is by no means a 3D monster but it is quick and jumps off the ground. 6x8 Master airscrew k series. full pull/pull on tail group.
