Anybody assembled a Kyosho G-Trick 90 recently?? The instructions call for a combo of metal and CA hinges on each control surface. Never heard of such an arrangement before. I've had good luck with McDaniel CA hinges on all sizes of planes. Any advice?

Kirk,
I used this wacky arrangement and all seems to be working fine. I did replace the CA hinges with GreatPlanes brand though. Also a few of the supplied metal hinges were slightly bent causing binding. I straightened them before assembly.

Kirk,
On my G-Trick, I have the same setup. Altough I replaced the funky metal hinges with Du-Bro pinned hinges, and also used the CA hinges where they stated. I actually like this setup... works great. And I have a little reassurance as the CA hinges help hold the control surface on should the others come loose (which won't happen if you pin them).
It's a good flying plane - if you have any other questions, let mek now.
I have a YS 91 FZ on mine with a 14 x 8 APC. Tru-Turn spinner.
Good luck,
Scott
