i have long past mastered my trainer and am looking for a good second plane.i was either considering the u can do 46 or the magic extra by modeltech. another plane i was leaning towards was the pheniox giles 202 but there have been a lot of people who did not recomend it for a good second plane. what do u guys think. i am 14 and have a limited budget so try to keep it cheap.
thanks for your recomendations

giles is no good. bad stall. no good right off the trainer. I have a friend(experienced pilot) who had one and lost it to stall. it just kept snap rolling into the ground.
UCD or magic extra are gonna be better because they both will fly very slowly without stalling. this is good but will teach you bad habits. these are 3D planes and cant be flown really fast.
on low rates these are easy to deal with then you get better you can crank it up for some 3D.
on a budget i would lean toward the magic extra. ive seen one 3D nicely w/ a TTpro.46. Most people with a UCD .46 put way bigger engines in them. I have one w/TTpro.61 and like it alot. it was my 3rd and 4th glow powered plane
(crashed my 1st UCD 4 times b4 i retired it)
hope this helps

The Goldberg Tiger is really good for a second plane, great flyer and lots of built in ability to proceed forward without having a handful of problems. It's wing and design allow for slow landings yet you can accomplish a great deal with this plane. It also can be converted to tail-dragger with minimal effort.
I have a UCD 46 with a 91 FS, This plane can be real docile or..... It also is quite fragile and everyone I have seen has had the landing gear knocked off at least once. The inverted engine will also give a new flyer problems (as well as old ones).
I know your feelings but suggest you go thru the steps and become a better disciplined flyer.
My thoughts........
