ok just to make peace i ordered a new u can do 3d and a saito 82 the cg was perfect and a 3/4 pound liter i put the 82 on my old one and need 7 ounces of lead on the engine mount thats with pull pull rudder the old planes are made different no lighting holes in the tail the new one weights 5 pounds and 4 ounces i can get to 5 pounds dry with carbon gear and canopy i think it has better vert than the 100 same prop 300 rpm difference weird

Thanks for the suggestions. I had planned on a 14x4 prop, but the hobby shop here did not have one in stock. I chose a 13x5 for now... it was either that or a 14x6 (our shop here has limited stock). I have some 14x4's on order. The plane flew well this weekend with the GMS 76 and the 13x5, but I think I will like the 14x4 a little better. But then again with my flying, I may never notice the difference! ha! By the way, the 76 allowed me to balance the plane with 0 dead weight. I know the 76 may be more motor than needed, but better too much than not enough... besides you don't have to fly full throttle all the time. Vertical was unlimited and I was careful not to open the throttle all the way in a dive or downwind flying... a fellow club member's UCD 46 exploded in air yesterday during a full throttle pullout from a steep dive (OS 50sx). Looks like the fuse gave way around the wing saddle and the plane exploded (it was actually quite spectacular). He should have know better, the UCD is just not designed for the way he was flying it. Oh well, lesson learned.

Here in the UK at sea level the following works well:
5% nitro
14x4w APC prop.
Irvine .72
BCM exhaust
C/G @ 6"
AUW 5.75LBS
Running rich, I get about 10.500 rpm which gives between 9.5 and 10 lbs thrust.
Out of sight vertical from the hover.
Cheap engine / cheap fuel / awesome performance.
Good luck with the GMS. Simon. Dorset UK.

fun_fly_3D,The Os 70FS will hover the UCD no problem,Its a slow pullout of the hover but accelerate pretty good.
my setup is
OS70FS
APC 14x4W
15% nitro
standard servo all arround except for rudder
weight 5.5 pound dry
C of G @ 5.5 inch
