Default Help with 3D maneuvers

Hi Folks,

I'm new to 3-d and just amazed at all the things some people can do with these airplanes. I have been doing a little research on the net trying to find out more info on the "How to's" of 3-d flying, but not coming up with much. I was wondering if there are any web sites or videos out there regarding this.

Thanks in advance!

Check out www.flyingcirkus.com

There are lots of video clips of planes performing 3-D stunts. Just simply sign up and enjoy

P.S. Wow, they make that stuff look so easy......

Also you can find some great video collections at www.scaleaerobatics.com, www.down-on-the-deck.com (remove the hyphens), www.3dbatix.com, there are several great sites with instructionals and videos if you know where to look.

But theres no place like home here at RCU[sm=thumbup.gif]

flyingcirkus.com is a great web site to start, but I know in the next
few weeks there will be a video out at your local hobby shop called
Ultimate 3-D. I know cause I did the flying in it.. ha ha! If you want
to view a sample clip of it the company producing it has a web page up
with a clip. And if you don't find it in your hobby shop you can always
have it mailed through the site.

But I have a feeling this is what you may be looking for cause we tried
to cover every 3-d maneuver out there. But if you have specific
questions you can email me as well at [email protected]

Hope this helps.

Thanks to everybody so far with the help. WOW!!! that flying on that video Ultimate 3-D is CRAZY!!! I'm gonna have to get that! Are you flying in any competitions this year cause I would come out to see you fly like that anytime. And what plane is that you are using (the red, white, and blue one) cause it looks like that plane is a blast to fly. And what motor are you using for that as well?

Thanks

Where do you guys fly in Florida? We have been traveling to Florida for the last 18 years. And for the last five years we've searched for flying fields. We normally visit Panama City, Pensacola, Jacksonville, Sarasota, Tampa, And The Keys. If you know any flying areas for next year's trip, let me know. I'd appreciate it!

Hey Spratrbo,

thanks, yes i to attend competetions all over the east coast and i will be in Florida in March for the JR Challenge. The main plane in the dvd is the 68" ExtremeFlight Rc Yak 54 powered by a YS 1.10FZ. this plane and engine combo is wicked.

if you really want it, you can order the dvd right from the web site

www.jpmediainc.net/ultimate3d.html

also extremeflight is located at www.extremeflightrc.com

good luck

How stupid do you and hovermaster think people on here are. Heres another one of your posts.

I have to shout out a plug here for my video becasue we talk specifically about engine choices and the actual Hovering maneuver. But ideally you want a 2 to 1 power to weight ratio. So on your .010 let's say it puts out 3 lbs of thrust you would put that engine in something that weighs 1.5 lbs including that engine.

Good luck!

John

spratbo starts a question so hovermaster can respond and plug his video. The video is in fact produced by spratbro according to him. One then may come to the conclusion they know each other.
What kind of crap are you two trying to pull.

spratrbo qoute "And what plane is that you are using (the red, white, and blue one)"

What a crock you know what plane it is since you have one
I got news for you the 3du videos at flying cirkus are better

hovermaster, since spratbro produced the video, I think maybe he already has it.

I would think by looking at the bottom of your plane, deception would not be on your list of things to do

I am surprised ExtremeFlight is mixed up with you guys.
I would think Chris is beyond thinking he has to use deception to sell his product

You are even trying to promote his plane in a deciptive manner

My intention is not to, flame, degrade, insult or embarrass someone as per your policy, simply pointing out a deception being done by two other members

In the very small world of RC, someone shilling online is laughable. The thought of an aspiring top level pilot ruining his reputation by such an obvious subterfuge really demonstrates a lack of maturity or at the very least ignorance of the power of the internet. Keep up that kind of behavior and before long you'll have a fan site like JHS.com as well.

Listen... I used this as a way to get the word out originally to start interest in the web site. Sorry if you feel "duped", but the fact of the matter is this has worked for now. As far as a banner ad, I am working on that right now and very shortly that will be in place along with the video in stores nation wide as well as magazine reviews from 3-D Flyer, RC Modeler, Model Airplane News, and ofcourse RCU. But don't try to diss my video when YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! For what it's worth, every single person I have showed this to has made comments like "I really learned a lot from this" and "this is the best RC video I have even seen". Think about what is motivating you to say what you are saying... who are you helping by "downing" another person? Would you like me to GIVE you a copy? If I do that and you can promise me you and your UNBIASED friends would look at it with an open mind I might be coaxed inoto sending you one. But you would have to promise if you thought it was alright that in every post you would carry my web site address and help promote it.

Think about it..

RCU Policy

If you are a rep, manufacturer, distributor or retailer for any product you cannot solicit, offer, promote, or market this product in the discussion forums

This is why you are doing it in such an underhanded way, and admit to it.

I have downloaded it and seen all I needed to

I am just glad Extreme flight does not operate like you two.

The posts on here will determine if I buy the 87" Yak. I will be sure to discount anything you and hovermaster have to say about it though.

But this is my point.... you think you are doing good things by trying to "expose me for the person I am", but who are you helping here? You might as well come out and say "I have never seen this video, but because he is promoting it in an unscrupulous way, don't buy it anyway!" But again... does this just make you feel better inside? This is my last post on this because I realize this is just crossing the line on policy... if you feel "duped" I am sorry as that was not my original intention, but it's time you review the policy yourself regarding degrading and insulting posts.

I am helping the other rc enthusiasts on here who think that if they read what other people have to say about a product in the forums they are able to make an informed decision.
Most, if not all except for your posts are unsolicited and honest opinions. I myself have decided to buy the Extremeflight Yak because of what the honest buyers have to say about the plane. I have purchased the Vector flight edge , the sole reason being all the great posts on here saying how great the plane and the customer service is. That is why the members are reading all the posts on the different products, to see what works and what doesn,t.
That is why RCU has the no promoting policy in the forums

have been accused of not seeing the video. I downloaded the preview on Dec. 16/04 at 6.45.38 am. and have watched it several times. 17.7 MB (18,598,976 bytes)

Without prejudice the video,s on 3du cirkus.com are a better format. In my opionion

I stated this Dec. 17 three days before I caught on to the shilling by these two guys. Post #16

That's beautiful! You want to bring religion into it now? You guys are selling something through deception for crying out loud. You are shilling which is aginst RCU policies because it is deceitful and not something to be condoned by a moral person. People rely on the opinions of others on RCU to decide on how to spend their hobby dollars and you guys are pretending to be something other than who you are for the sake of money. Stop being a hypocrite and lieing out of one side of your mouth while praising Jesus out the other. Shame on you.

What you two guys were doing is dishonest and unethical. If you don,t get it you need a course in ethics.

I keep my religious beliefs to myself. I would appreciate it if you do the same on posts refering to me personaly
