Im getting my Seduction Ono Special going and was wondering what servos to use in it.
I only use futaba and nothing else. Also I dont like the metal gear servos.
One mor thing I would like to get some servos arms that that are for 3d type planes. Where can I get these?
Thanks for your time.

It depends how much $$ you want to spend. I really like the S9202 but it's not digital. The specs on it aren't that good but it's a much better servo than any other non digital from futaba. If you want digitals,,, check specs on futaba website and go from there. I think Creek hobbies has some nice aluminum servo arms for big throws.

I looked at some of those Digital's, what the hell. Why are they a 100 bucks for one? What's the difference?
Do any of these places have Web addresses.
Thanks Robert

I know you said Futaba only but you'll get more servo for your money if you go with the Hitec 5625's digitals. Fast speed, high torque and only $50 each new. They are metal gears which is no doubt better that the nylon ones so I'm not sure why you say you don't want metal gears especially if your going to fly 3D which can be hard on them. As for aluminum servo arms Air Wild Hobbies sells them for about $8 a piece.
If you really want to keep the weight down you could go with mini servos. The Hitec 225MG produce almost 70oz torque, same as the Futaba 9202's and move twice as fast which will help with 3D.
No question if you want to go all out for 3D flying by all means get metal gear servos, fast servos, and plenty of torque.
It's only money, right?

Thanks a lot David.
The reason for me not like metal gear servos is b/c in the servo there is a Nylon gear wich will get striped by the metal. Seen this done far to many times.

Hitec Unbreakable MP Gear™
The heart of our unbreakable geartrain is the MP Gear. The MP Gear is made utilizing a revolutionary production technique that injects a high impact plastic around a metal pinion gear to form an unbreakable first gear. By utilizing this gear Hitec has succesfully reduced the amount of drive train noise that is common in metal gear servos and at the same time added considerable strength to the geartrain.

Try the new -inexpensive JR811-
I was really surprised at how good it is - and not very heavy.
Not a huge torque setup -but perfect for models up to 12/1300 squares.

And you'll never see me replace any 9202's with a 225MG..the 225 ain't all that. Price and torque ratings are great...actual use will make the difference.
And I know Hitec has a great following among fliers who don't want to dish out the bucks for Futaba servos..and many are having great luck especially with the Hitec digitals, but hey..it's only money! If you shop around you can find Futaba digitals for prices that rival Hitec prices....but if you like the Hitecs then that is great. I use them in combat planes. I use Futabas in planes that (and helis)I want to keep around awhile.
I have always used Futaba stuff, and I have some JR stuff, and Hitec. But after beating the Heli boards for a while, I came to realize that these guys are very demanding of their servos. And almost none of the posters use or recommend Hitec...JR users are defecting in droves...and 3 guesses what they are using...
But hey! It's only money, Right??

Reality check. Im using 3003's on the ailerons, 3001's everywhere else and flys great. This planes only 40 sized and really I dont think is worth spending the extra money on..

I think the HItec digital servos are an excellent bargain. I've got two 5625 one the elevators on my 36% Edge 540 and they work great. I've also got a 5735 on the rudder, again works great. I do however have 4 JR 9011 on the ailerons. They work great also. Servo manufacturers wouldn't stay in business if they produced crappy stuff. I've got a friend who downs Hitec digitals all the time. The same day he was slammin my Hitec digitals, his son lost a 9303 on one elevator of his H9 33% Cap 232. The boy, who is an excellent flyer saved the plane, but it just goes to show you ANY servo can fail. I use Futaba transmitters only, but I use all different kinds of servos.

Also, in 10+ years of flying I've NEVER had a Futaba servo break or go bad, but I've had more than one brand new Hitec break within the first 2 flights.
Don't get me wrong - there's plenty of people who have had great success and are very happy with Hitec - I'm just not one of them.
BTW - You might look at SWB arms too. Desert Aircraft carries them.

I dont have the seduction, but I have a topcap arf w/ YS 63.
I first put Hitec 225 non metal gears. on my rudder. and evelator. I got about 10 flights on my top cap, and I was doing some serious snaps, knifeedge loops. and into my 10th flight and I noticed my rudder wasn't responding.
so I landed quickly w/ no damage, and my rudder servo was stripped. luckily it didn't lock up in place.
So I wouldn't recommend 225's on the rudder of the seduction.
But my 225 on elevator has close to 60flights on it, and so far is working perfectly. So I think one on the elevator will do fine.
Back on my rudder. I replaced w/ a standard JR 517BB servo and now have about 50 flights on it w/ no problems.
I know guys, that have standard Hitec BB (the ones that cost about $14) on knifes, sudukois, and misc. funflys and have not had a problem.
