I just bought a flip 3D and set it up with an OS 50SX initially with an APC 11x6, but no good. Not to mention zero nitro fuel. I love the feel of the aircraft. It floats more than it flies. The wing loading is amazing. close loops, prop hang, flips, tumbles n what not!! all this with an engine thats simply not designed for this kind of an aircraft. It revs too fast n the transition due to fuel is poor.
so, i ended up buying an OS 70 ultimate for this aircraft. Now the problem is that i tried to start it up on the same 80/20 fuel n on the same needle setting ( the book says to start at full throttle n 2 rotations of the needle valve) the engine rpm varies from 1500--6000. this too for about 15 secs, then the engine shuts down automatically. what could be the cause? how do i fix it? keep in ming that this is a pumped engine.

we had one that did that and leaked fuel out of the back of the motorwe called OS about that and had to send it back. i believe it also said something in the manual about it ,cant remember
check for fuel line leaks and make sure your tank is not leaking. being a pressurized system like YS it can split your tank and not pressuring up . also make sure your fuel inlet and overflow are closed and not leaking.
