Default U-Can-Do & OS .61 FSR Prop Question

Just picked up a .46 size UCanDo. I have an older OS .61 FSR I'm going to put in it.

What size prop is recommended for this setup? 13x5, 13x4 ?

Thanks,

Scott.

Scott- The OS-61FSR was/is a great engine! I bet you could get away with a 14x4W APC or Zinger maybe?, even my OS-50SX can turn a 13x4, so the 13" is a tad small and my G-90 spins a 15 or 16 incher... A 13x6 would be a good load but crappy for 3D-

I am assuming you want 3D style perfomance-- ?

Razor,

Thanks for the response -

I currently fly pattern but mostly just burn holes in the sky - this is my first 3D style airplane. It looks like my good ol' .61 fsr is at the top end of engine size for the .46 size UCanDo. With that said, I understand I need to keep the speed down and hope to do that with a low pitched prop. I'll try the 14x4 and see if the engine will spin it around 10 - 12k or so.

I'm not sure how much 3Ding I'll do with this setup but it will sure give me something new to try! maybe I'll endup switching out all my stuff to these big winged airplanes!

Scott.
