Hi Guys,
I'm building a Sledge right now. Using a Saito 72 in the nose. Any recommendations on servo size? Are 40 inoz servos OK to use in a typical 3D profile? I've been flying 1/3 giant Extra's and Edges, using digitals throughout... I'm not too sure about the 3D birds though.
thanks in advance for the advice.
The wing will be finished tonight, will start working on the fuse and tail in the morning.

Doug,
A good standard size BB servo is all that is needed. I bought a bunch of Hitec 475HBs about a year ago and they have worked well in my profiles. I think they rate in the mid 60 oz torque on 6 volts and somewhere around 48oz on 4.8 volts. The gears are super strong and the servo is only about $16 or $17.
I hear of alot of people using Futaba 3004s as well.
Hope this helps
