.

I am going to re check my W/S but I have noticed none of
the problems that 364 reported...

Mine seems to be VERY solid, so much so it is heavy for it`s
size...

I've put 7 more flights on mine yesterday evening, and this morning.
I must say it will do a lot more than I can.
Finally had no wind conditions, and played with some of the mixing, and I love it.
It will loop so tight, almost catching its tail[X(]
With flap/alieron mix on it is almost a blur in roll.
In crow it will slow to a walk on landing.
I've also had it going pretty fast now,and can report no flutter yet.
Also I must apologize to Walt,I did add 2 oz. of lead to the tail.
The OS 46 AX is comming alive now,I've tried an 11X4,and 12.25X3.75 APC and think I like the 11X4 best so far.
Like I stated erlier,I just back after 3 years off,and I can highly reccomend this one for anyone in the same situation.
As far as the construction problems posted erlier,I haven't noticed it in mine.

I flew 6 or 7 tanks through mine yesterday too. Construction on mine was perfect. OS 50FSR, Jr servos, 600 pack, and full length ailerons. AUW 4 lbs 9 ozs. Full deflection rudder and high speed barely holds level knife edge. Even with the huge rudder, it doesn't respond great in hover or torque roll. I'm right on the balance point now, it may get better as I go to tail heavy. Still need a push for level inverted, quite a bit of wing rock in harrior.
But it still flies great! Slows to a walk without flaps, lands easier and slower than any trainer I've seen, slows well on downlines, and gives alot of confidence for low altitude aerobatics.
I've already decided if I wreck this, another will be on it's way.

Yes, I'm at the front c.g. Now I'll have to add lead to the tail to move the c.g. back. I've built a balsa compartment near the tail for the battery pack. I suppose a couple ounces won't hurt. I really like this plane.

It looks like I will have mine done next weekend. This nose heavy thing is bugging me alot. I am going to end up putting in my 50 and also move the elevator servo to the tail.

One thing I think contributes to the nose heavy issue is the heavy gear. I found that my ols pizazz gear with wheels is ligher, so I put those instead.

Ok guys I flew my WS40 yesterday. I did put my OS 70 on it. I am running the wing with 4 servos but all are set to act as big ailerons. I am running max throw with 40% expo, and it balanced on the spar with 2.5 ounces of weight in the tail. This thing flew frigging awesome. I think it flew better than my funtana. It spins, tumbles, and flips very well. It also tracked very straight and I was able to do some nice basic pattern moves. On low rates I think this be fine second or third plane that could expand into a 3D'er. It landed nice with the power off and woul;d settle in tail first. This was essential because my 14 inch prop had 1 inch of ground clearance. Like most arfs it couple coupled horribly, I was able to get a full roll using the rudder. I mixed all out with my 8103 and now I can do a control line pattern. So far when I parachute it snaps off to the left. With the 70 it loops really big. I will keep cheeking the glue joints but so far its holding up. I got pretty fast coming out of some dives but didnt get any flutter. The only hard part of building it was the dual elevator pushrod, but I suck at bending those anyway.

I just weighed my WS and with the OS70 and 2 extra servos it weighs 5 pounds 4.5 ounces. I am going to replace the wing blind nuts with dubro brass inserts and 10-32 bolts.

I have a 50 FSR in mine. I put the battery and the receiver in a compartment towards the tail. Added no lead. I glued the flap and aileron together on each side. So I have two servos in the wing instead of four. I swiss cheesed the landing gear. AUW is 4 lbs. 10 ozs. Unlimited vertical, hovers a bit over half throttle, but is a challenge to hover. I'm now at the back CG, I may have to go further back yet.
For the size, the rudder isn't nearly as effective as you would think. Full throttle, full rudder, sustained knife edge isn't possible.
All in all, it's a real nice plane. Not a 3d hot rod, but a nice aerobatic plane.

I agree about the rudder, it is so limited by the elevators. There are a couple of things that are poorly designed. It should of included solid ailerons also in case you didnt want to mix. Mine will hold level knifeedge but wont climb.

After 30 flights, i feel the plane is POORLY DESIGNED but has the BEST quality
of (ARF) workmanship I have ever seen...

I now would never recommend this plane as a 3D plane...
It is hard to figure out just what this plane is....

I will keep flying it and twikeing it, it is fun and a challenge...

Hello eveyone,
I just bought the Wild Stick 40, it is my second ARF kit and hopefully will be my intermediate plane after i got some time flying a Duraplane over the summer. Anyway I will be watching this post for all the info yall have and maybe put in my own. I'll be putting a OS46LA in this plane along with a Futaba 6pcm with 7 servos. Do i need to put any certain type of servos for certain functions i.e. flaps or ailerons?? I really hope this plane is as good as i am reading here I really want to fly it before i do my tour in the sandbox. Good luck to everyone with this plane.

Hi Jon,

At the stage of flying that you are in I think you will like the plane...
You might consider installing a 46ax motor...
JUST standard 3004 servos are fine....
