Hey guys !
I've learned to do Harrier Rolls lately but I only use elevator can anyone explain how rudder is used also? It is hard to use both at the same time...
Thanx

Get a simulator and do them as slow as you can fly. If you do not need rudder, you aren't really doing a harrier roll because the nose would fall through in the knife edge. Practice on the sim has paid off a lot for me. Good luck!

Nothing to beat a sim. I am assuming you can do slow rolls and/or point rolls if you can do harrier rolls with just the elevator. I started out the same way but the roll rate has really got to be up there for the nose not to fall out. Slow down your roll rate and concentrate a lot more on using the rudder - the elevator will come automatically. I gave the same tip to a local flyer and he practiced it on his sim and now he is doing rolling harriers all the time. So the technique does work - hope it works for you too.

yes, it can be done, but the attitude keeps much more clear when you use both, and you can do it slower, looks much like a pro
