Hi,
I'm wondering what Edge 540s there are out there, in ARTF , or ARTC
And if you have one, is it good for 3d??
I have a 140DZ that needs a home!
Regards,
Steve

One is the GSP Edge ... kinda cheap enough and also relatively light, will be a blast on the YS140. My pal has been bugging me to get his that is NIB, saw it and it was nicely manufactured.

another one to look at is the Hanger 9 Edge 540. You probably need to mod the elevator servo setup but a guy at our field has one and it seems to 3D very well.

Just be careful about what DPM says on AUW, seems that the plane is about 13-14lbs. Seen it fly with 40+cc gassers and its lovely. Performance on the DPM Edge with a YS140 might not be much at all. The YS140 is best with a 10-11 lbs plane for really good 3D.

The Wildhare Edge 1.20 is a really nice looking plane and Tom said the newest versions are even better in quality ! A local guy has converted his to electric and on the maiden flight he tried to land it like a .25 sized plane and pancaked it. Not much damage at all from what I hear either, just landing gear folded under where most planes this size would have broken in half !

Yeah I agree here. I almost shouldn't have suggested the DPM because it's really not a 120 sized Edge. It's 27% (79 inch wing) and it almost needs a 50 cc gasser to do any serious 3D. I have a Moki 2.10 and although it flies really nice and 3D's, the "pull out of trouble" power is not really as much as I would like.

Don't forget about Yellow Aircraft. I have their 1.20 sized Edge. I only flew it twice, but it is a great flying plane. Did not try any 3D, but I am sure it is more than capable.

Wildhare RC. [link=http://www.wildharerc.com/Products/Edge120/edge.html]check it out[/link]. I just finished building the new version, I have not flown it yet but it weighed in ready to fly at 10lbs 14oz. I put a Saito 1.80 on the front and it still balanced perfectly. I am looking forward to first flying it this weekend. Tom has put together a great kit. I built mine up with 5645s on ail and ele, and 5945 on rud. I have done a lot of research and have seen others throwing this plane around really good so it would be my recommendation.
