Well then what is the one condition that makes it not TR with neutral aileron? I haven't had this problem untill I tried this particular plane. It automatically wants to TR like a power drill.

Well, I would be one that can HOVER, not torque roll. I have a Funtana with a Saito 100. Now you talk about torque. When I throttle the plane up on the ground the LEFT wheel COMES OFF THE GROUND. I can hover and go out and touch the tail. I get 55 degrees on my aileron on the Funtana so I have NO problemo stopping the rolling!! I can get so much I can to a right torque roll![X(]

Hows the plane Shovel-Head? Have you tried full right aileron.

I haven't had the chance to try it yet. The wind and rain have been terrible here.

Well, I'm sure we all are anxious to see what happens when you use full right aileron!!

well, sorry i didnt give my opinion, but the reason was because i was i thought people would not like my opinion, so i wanted 3d-kidd300 to reaply because he is one of the best pilots in my local club...

well, about hovering, some planes roll more than others, im sure u noticed that already, but using that particular plane, have u ever noticed that sometimes the plane rolls a lot, and other times the plane just hangs on the prop with no rolling and no aileron imputs, wonder why is that???

The TR does look cool but I'm not comfortable doing them at the moment! Again for this plane it automatically goes into a perfect TR untill the belly is faceing me then it just stops. If it were to continue rolling around I could probably keep it going.

Is the plane coming toward you? I mean when the top is facing you and then it turns around, is it going down, like it would be coming towards you, and that's why it's stopping because it's loosing it's strait up attitude? Have you gone to the field yet? Well, I guess if you have, then you would tell us what happened, DOH!

Hey Felix, Sorry I didn't see the thread earlier or I would have replied. Thanks for the compliment!

To stop the torque from rolling the plane around, like mentioned earlier, will take a LOT of aileron on most planes. If you can stop it with ailerons alone, great, but if not, you will have to lean the airplane into the wind, or if there is no wind, you will be moving foward slowly. If I want to stop the torque roll, I both lean into the wind and use the aileron to keep it straight. With a lot planes, like my Edge, the torque actually cannot be stopped with aileron alone.

Diffrent props and diffrent engines (2 st. and 4 st.) will effect how much of the torque that you feel when the airplane is rolling around its axis. Planes with shorter wings with less area to them will be more sensitive to the torque, just because there is less resistance. Likewise, planes with more wing area will be less sensitive to torque due to more resistance.

The torque is always there, but those factors depend on how much you can "feel" it when you are hovering. But the best tip is to go out and practice until you get it down. That's how I learned, by just going out and flying....A lot. You will eventually (soon if you practice)get it, and then you can be pulling T/Rs all the way down the runway.[8D]

Good luck,
Brandon

PS-Felix, I haven't been able to get out to the field lately because my dad has been working diffrent shifts and I have been troubleshooting problems with the Edge and my other planes. I will probably be there later next weekend, so I'll see you at the field.

ill have it done in a couple of days, but i dont know if ill be able to finish my slope plane for next weekend thought!!
