Well sounds like it wasnt as bad as they predicted, the hurrican didnt hit dead on, of course this is still the most tragic disaster to hit new orleans.
so very sad, they say some people are trapped up in there attics and that there isnt much they can do for them atm, i hope all comes out ok

If you have never been through a full blown hurricane its hard to imagine the destruction both in property and nerves. My heart goes out to all that are in its path. Me, I've got lucky, had to go to Houston Sunday for work. When I can get through on the phone I know that we have no power and trees are down. 100 + miles inland.
I remember living in Mobile during Fredrick, 1/2 day helping cut trees from roads and walking the last three miles to see if I still had a house left.
New Orleans has a major hurt, yet they were spared worse at the last minute by a slight turn of the hurricanes path.
My thoughts and prayers for all.
