Hi,
This plane looks awsome. I think I am going to order one next week. Please can anyone tell me if a Saito 1:20 4S will be a good engine for this plane. I am looking for unlimited performace really.

Think the 1.20's in the same crankcase as the 1.50 and 1.80 so its gonna be heavy. I was tempted by the YS1.40 but im gonna stick with the 1.10 to keep it as light as poss.

Saito have a 1.25 in the works, due to be released soon which is alot lighter than the current 1.20 and is a 100 case I think.

I'm thinking about a Saito 1.25 too and have already checked into availability. They're expected in the US in December, but Paul at Just Engines says that the UK is usually about 4-6 months behind (!)
The price in $ is about the same in the US as the UK price is likely to be in £. But by the time you've paid for delivery, VAT, import duty etc it works out about the same by my reckoning. And you won't get any after-sales service on a direct import if you have a problem with it. Then again, you'd probably be unlucky to need a repair under guarantee from what I've heard about Saitos.
So, I guess it depends how bad you want one whether you're prepared to wait.
Hope that helps,
Phil

Any one actually flown the new drenny yet? I have just finished mine with a ys110 and small hatori tuned pipe and have the cg at 150mm. Are there any other opinions on where to put the cg? I found the build very easy only dissapointing thing was adding 30 gramms of lead to the right wing to lateral balance it. I will post when I fly her asap.

Finally maidened the drenny and flew all weekend. I love this plane, it really is very smooth and true, harriers are solid with only a touch of wing rock when the juice is applied and stearing on rudder. It just drops vertically with full up elevator very steadily. I found that it wouldn't WALL too good, and on last flight today realised that the cg was further forward than 150mm. This may account for the slight wing rock and entry into the wall so I will have to wait until next flight to see if it improves after I move the cg back. Blenders and flat spins were all easy and it hovers very easy. The ys 110 is ample power to punch out of a hang, I couldn't imagine wanting more power. This really is a good plane!!
I'll post again when I have nailed a good cg position.

I am looking at getting an adrenaline (or was looking at a RUSH).
I have a spare Enya 120 Four Stroke, would you experienced "Adrenalines" think this would be a good engine combination for it ?
I would like to do 3D, hopefully some hovering etc, and some basic pattern flying.
Any idea when the new version might be available in Australia?
Thanks
BT

would an OS 91 2 stroke be ok or would it be a better bet to go with the os 120 ax 2 stroke, thinking of using hitec digi 5645 12kg in .18s.
What do you guys think
Ali, any better suggestions
Hopefully will order one from you, but no promises
Thanks ali

OK, I flew the dreny with a 150mm cg and its stabalised the wing rock when steering a harrier, I feel it could go back further as it didn't make any difference in its pattern abilities, the plane was still very smooth and stable on landings.
I have lost about 4 canopy retaining screws now in flight, so will drop some thread lock in the T-nuts to make a tighter fit. Also make sure the wing retaining threaded stud enters the fuss past the nut 10mm or more. (ie, don't glue it too far into the wing) You will then be able to stop the retaing nut coming loose in flight by a cable tie or pushing over some silicone fuel tube.
happy landings.

Flew my adrenaline today.
Only the 3rd tank on a new ys110 so was going easy. Kept to foreward flight mainly. Seems very nice, I think it feels lighter than the old one.
I really like plug in wings, helps keep things very neat. I moved things round inside a bit so the tank is back by the wing tube. balances round about 150 with battery just behind the tube.
Plenty of power especially considering how rich I am running it.
Hopefully get some decent flying in on sunday.
